Many of the pubs in Knaphill provide entertainment in the form of live bands, karaoke, discos, race nights etc. Most display their current events on blackboards outside their premises. Live Sky Premiership football is also shown. Look out for our new monthly Pub Crawl Survey updates for 2010. Here we will testing the beer quality, atmosphere and general standards of service at your local.

The Anchor
Recently bought by Merlin Inns, this former Gales, then Fuller's pub presents itself as a hub for the local community. The pub is now enjoying a period of resurgence following Jack and his partner Judy's arrival as the new managers.
The cosy and relaxed atmosphere though has been ruined by some recent price rises that now makes this pub probably the most expensive night out in Knaphill.

The Crown is the main venue for Knaphill Rocks - 2009 with Live Bands every Friday from 21:00. Since April 2007 the pub has also been presenting Exotic Dancers every Monday & Wednesday evening from 20:30 with up to three beautiful girls gyrating their stuff during each session at £1.00 a dance. The pub is a typical traditional english working men's boozer but is also frequented by the so-called 'designer-scruff' fraternity.

Superb range of beers with mature regular crowd. The only thing missing is the popular weekend summer folk festivals which used to draw people into the back beer garden each July. However, the future does look brighter now since Darren and Debbie took over the lease in 2006. Unfortunately the beer is restricted by having to buy from Punch Taverns list but on the upside it's always well kept and reasonable value for money.

If it's food you're looking for then this is the pub for you. Formally the Nags Head, this pub has changed ownership a few times since it's incarnation as The Hunters Lodge in the early 1990s.A good range of wines and beers and we are pleased to say that the service has greatly improved here over recent months.

This pub is on the border between Knaphill and Goldsworth Park. Just the busy Lockfield Drive separates the two communities. A bit off the beaten track for most Knaphillians but it can make a pleasant change, particularly in the summer months as it boasts a large beer garden and split level patio.
The Robin Hood, Robin Hood Road, Knaphill - Tel: 01483 472173
At the foot of Anchor Hill this pub changed hands some three years ago and has been on the up and up ever since. Recently refurbished - this friendly little pub also boasts an excellent Thai food menu. Definitely a local's pub with regular clientele and very friendly staff.

Close to the border with St Johns, this pub is ideal if you are a typical 2.4 family. Good menu including a children's selection and ample playing areas both indoors and out. A sizeable parking area also adds to the experience. Hard to detect if this is a classic local's pub but the beer quality is good and the staff although a little robotic were almost polite.

The Barley Mow
As the road name suggests, Barley Mow Lane used to have a pub at the junction with Chobham Road, Knaphill. The Barley Mow closed as a pub circa. 1929 and used to be home to the Blackman family. The building still stands as a residential dwelling and is reputedly still haunted by the ghost of a gentleman who was murdered there when it was still a drinking establishment.
