       I'm a local poet and children's author and have been a modern languages teacher for 20 years.  My first two books were published last year.  Details of these are below. 

       It's a Teacher's Life is a collection of 20 anecdotal poems written in free verse based on my own experiences as a teacher in a girls' private school.  Many of the topics addressed, however, are applicable to all teachers wherever they work.  If you read the reviews on amazon.co.uk and amazon. com, you will see that the book is by no means just for teachers.  The book is available online and can be ordered from any bookshop. 

       Family and More - Enemies or Friends? is a collection of 16 poems, again written in free verse, based on the people in my life who've had a big influence on me and showing the lessons I've learnt from them - lessons that many others will also be able to relate to.  The poems are heavily influenced by the fact that I come from a German/English background.  The book is an ebook and is available from my publishers.  This is a comment that a reader sent me recently:

       "The poems are absolutely wonderful and perfect - it's an epic, multi-generational collection that tells of major, international events of great historical value and have characters that come alive, whom you just fall in love with.  You have written a story that could be as epic as 'Gone with the Wind' and 'The Titanic'.  I love it!  I love the whole concept of that little girl and her family from opposite sides of the war.  You have some really dynamic conclusions, recognitions and discoveries about self, family, people, nations and WAR.        The book will be coming out as a paperback in 2010 with an extra poem and photos as well.
