Zeytin is the name of Knaphill’s new Turkish restaurant. The High Street venue will be a small, sit-down place to sample authentic freshly cooked cuisine from eastern Europe in a cosy atmosphere. Scheduled to open by Monday 24 October the restaurant will also offer a lunchtime buffet service to its customers. More information is available by calling 01483 488924.

Yes. I had the lamb too - delicious. They do need to do something about their puds and hot drinks though. We had baklava, which I've had plenty of in my life, and I can quite honestly say it was the worst. Some places don't seem to appreciate the importance of afters and seem to believe they can throw them in as a cheap addition just for the sake of it - they're the last thing you eat and unfortunately are the last thing you taste. Also, they didn't have anything remotely like a normal tea, just some sort of apply stuff. It is important to finish off a meal properly - have few puds by all means, but they should be up to scratch, and coffee and tea, even if only a small selection, should include something standard for us to complete our meal comfortably.
