Mr PC Paramedic seems to frequently park his car up on the pavement (all four wheels mind !) outside of his shop. Perhaps he has obtained permission. Perhaps not. Yes - there is room for pedestrians, wheelchairs, pushchairs etc., to pass by but this does not neccessarily make it acceptable. I bruised my knee on his bumper the other day whilst momentarily experiencing navigational failure in my legs ! I'm over it now. I just thought I would pose the question.

Why are nearly all the new people who have moved into Knaphill in recent years so rude, ignorant and obnoxious and what brought them here?

I'm not. Nothing like a sweeping generalisation.

He does only say "nearly all"... that should leave you some hope!

I'm back. Many apologies for my absence. I was called away urgently for 10 days golf in Myrtle Beach SC (God's own country apparently) and very nice it was too. I think that it has done my knee the world of good. I only operate on-line from my workplace. The last thing I ever want to do is sit in front of a screen at home or on holiday. I hope that none of you on this thread are, indeed, Mr PC Paramedics. Red face time if you are ! I was refering to the High Street version of PCP or, as I like to remember it 'The Schoolgirl' outlet. Mr Blue - please confirm that your comment was aimed at the nature of this thread (inconsiderate parking) and not at me for starting it. It's not that clear to me.

When I re-read my comment before posting I thought that it smacked of paranoia too ! I just needed confirmation that Mr Blue's post wasn't levelled at me for sounding off like Victor Meldrew, so many thanks. I'm certainly not a newcomer or a Yuppie (though I did have one of those Motorola 'brick' mobile phones a la 'Arthur Daley' back in 1989 for a short while). Though I now live elsewhere I strongly consider myself to be Knaphillian to the core. I was born in Highclere Road ( not IN the road you understand) and have the honour of being Dr Guy Hamilton's first ever home birth so as such, I was an experiment ! As far as PCP is concerned I'm not here to moan on and on and on . . . I just feel that given the amount of parking space in the area behind the pet shop there should not be a need for (sometimes two) cars up on an area that has traditionally been the domain of pedestrians. Now, if the reason for parking there is for ease in loading/off-loading computer equipment then that is fair enough. The trouble is I'm not in the vicinity all day long to monitor whether the car(s) is parked there throughout the day too.

Greetings As an old incumbent I understand part of the argument but whilst some of the new bods have their heads stuck right up their bums, so do some of those who have lived in the village for years. Good and bad amonst us all I'm afraid..
