Does anyone else find the estate agent signs along Raglan Road a complete eye sore? These are supposed to be Grade II listed houses, yet every week more and more of these horrible wooden signs get put up. They do nothing to maintain the integrity of these lovely old prison warders houses. Grrr.

Really don't see the point in estate agency signs these days - how many people drive around streets, roads and estates looking to see what's for sale - most people I know now use the internet.  The only people who benefit from it is the neighbours who ring up the estate agent and ask how much its going for to see whether they've gained, or more likely these days, lost!

Have to confess the estate agent signs don't bother me too much but the little signs tied to traffic lights for 'Car for cash!' etc I really hate! They look tatty and cheap which reflects badly on the area

These signs are actually illegal.

you should report them to the Police.

I agree, we should report these signs to the police.  The sooner the police start to focus on these signs and stop wasting time preventing crime or catching muggers and rapists and burglars the better as far as I'm concerned.

On the basis that we don't bother with minor crime, does that mean we turn a blind eye to litter dropping, shop lifting, travelling on a train without purchasing a ticket, or even fly tipping?

These are all minor crimes but they affect the general public. The signs placed at traffic lights can be dangerous by distracting the driver which can then lead to an accident.

The police give all crimes a rating based on priority, they will attend to the signs as and when they feel appropriate.

It was just a piece of community information!
