Just to add to the mystery, I think I may have spotted the Krankies in Horsell yesterday.

UFO Mystery solved: thousands of orange coloured objects were spotted all over the SE of England on Boxing Day. These were commemorative lanterns that were launched into the sky from a site near Surbiton to mark the 5th anniversary of the Asian Tsunami. So, sorry - no little green men this time!

We saw the objects in the sky on Boxing Day and posted information on UFO UK website. The lights in the sky were too large to be lanterns or baloons of any kind. I would urge all Knaphill people to take this visitation seriously x

ok joking aside i for one dont believe that we are the only living thing in the universe but what i cant get is that in this day and age nearly everyone on the planet carries a mobile phone witch is usually loaded up with stills cam and video cam but all you seem to get is long distance and blurred imiges.did anyone get any shots of this thing.lets face it its crimbo lots of fine ale to be consumed.did someone have a nice long liquid lunch in maybe the crown or anchor and on way home finding themselves a bit wibbly wobbly rested there weary head against a lampost and when they awoke still a bit foggy in the head looked up and hey presto big orange light above them?

There was a lot ot furore over the Xmas period with UFOs allegedly spotted over Knaphill. As the following link suggests, sightings actually go back to last March as well !

Well, I was with a group of people walking back up Anchor Hill last Thursday and we saw some orange lights in the sky. I can confirm that these were not balloons or chinese lanterns. They were not any form of recognised aircraft either. By the way I do not drink or take drugs and nor do my friends. We know what we saw and what we saw is still unexplained. Please do NOT ridicule what you dont understand!

They were Chinese Lanterns, I saw them too. They were being launched from not far away - I guess somewhere near Bagshot Road. They rose very quickly and moved fast, but eventually they get too high and the flame goes out.
