I am becoming increasingly dissolutioned with Woking Borough Council. Does Knaphill have to 'governed' by this bunch of incompetent idiots or can we defect to Surrey Heath for instance?

Better still - why can't we form a Knaphill Independent Council ?

After all what do we get for our council tax ? - Bins emptied if we're lucky!!

Definately!!! I received a letter the other day saying my council tax had gone up because Surrey Police had their funding capped by the government... Why the hell should I care or have to pay for it for that matter when the police dont actually seem to do anything at all!

Well, Bin collection dates changed this week, ours from Friday to Wednesday - Great Start

Come home to find wrong bin returned to our front garden with our own left two doors away still half full with legitimate rubbish which should have been emptied.

Also, split rubbish bags from houses opposite dropped and left by bin men in street.

Leads you to believe there are more cowboys employed by WBC than you'll find in the OK Coral !!!!

My friend works at the council offices and he said that there was nothing to worry about. He said that someone turned a switch off on a internal computer server and that it is something that happens there all of the time

Hello,

I am happy to take up the matter of your bin not being emptied and residual rubbish left behind by the rubbish collection lorry.

If you care to post your details on my Councillor web site..

cllrmelanie.whitehand@woking.gov.uk  I will take some action on the matter.

As always, I am happy to hear from residents who feel they have a Council  issue that needs resolving.

Thanks

Councillor Melanie Whitehand

I read with interest the post on your Wordress page from the Liberal Democrat Councillor. The issue mentioned aside, this not the first time he has spoken out of turn as you will see from examples on this link; http://www.thehorsellsmouth.com/?s=olly+wells

Sorry, I did not mean to cause such a stir with my previous post.  One person complaining about one pub. This is so out of proportion with what really needs to be tackled in Knaphill. Let's please drop the vindictiveness and stop over reacting!

Having seen the statement from Knaphill Football Club today........ I have to wonder how much Woking BC are responsble for the Knappers failure to get promotion after finishing 3rd and being denied a place in the premier disvision of the combined counties lge because of a delay in ground inprovements............ had it been Woking FC .. no doubt they would have pulled out all the stops to get things done in time.........

If any resident experiences difficulty with having their refuse bins emptied now or in the future, I would  appreciate being informed, I will do my best to get the problem rectified. Of course very heavy snowfalls do cause concern on safety issues as the large refuse lorries are unable to drive along narrow streets easily.  This will impact on the collection schedule but hopefully the matter will be sorted as soon as possible.

As always any issues that you have concerns about please do not hesitate to contact me..

Merry Christmas......
